Oil on canvas featuring Gold leaf detail. This painting was painted over the first initial shut down thanks to Covid-19. This piece was intended to show the swirl of emotions I was feeling while the whole world was in quarantine. The blue represents my melancholia, while the black vines try to weave their dark thoughts into my brain. I chose to use gold foil as a way to represent the spark of ideas that refused to be extinguished during the pandemic.
